Enclosure Type: Warm and moist. Millipedes enjoy a jungle-y area full of fallen logs and leaves. 

Enclosure Size: 10-15 gallons 

Substrate: Bioactive millipede substrate blend 

Decor: Places to hide under, leaf litter, vines or branches for climbing. 

Water: Include a VERY shallow water dish. Most of a millipede's water supply comes from the food they eat.  

Temperature: 70-78 degrees Fahrenheit 

Humidity: 50-70%. Moisten the substrate as needed to maintain humidity. 

Lighting: Fluorescent bulbs or LEDs that produce 10,000-12,000 Lux are best. 

Type of Diet: Detritivore 

Types of Food: Decaying plant matter such as decayed vegetation, dead leaves, and other organic plant matter, as well as other small invertebrates and insect larvae.  

Feeding Schedule: Always keep food in their enclosure, just make sure to replace it daily to prevent spoilage or mold 

Supplements: Provide your millipede with calcium-rich foods such as cuttlefish bone, boiled eggshells, or crushed eggshells.
