Welcome to Ausable River Outdoors (a division of Ausable River Manufacturing). During the last year and a half we have experimented with manufacturing and prototyping many products within the fishing, hunting, and outdoor recreational fields. We have manufactured fishing poles, archery equipment, lures, slingshots, decoys and more. After the dust settled and we reflected on all aspects concerning each product we finally settled on primarily manufacturing knives (along with leather working) and wooden boats.
Although this does not mean we won’t be producing some other very cool products in the future as well. We will also be expanding our store with other NICHE OUTDOOR PRODUCTS.
We manufacture and customize many styles of knives as well as retail over 700 different brands of cutlery. We are striving to be the largest retailer of knives in NE Michigan. Being centrally located in Mio, MI in accordance with the NE area we hope to achieve this goal over the next year or so.
To complement the sales of our knives we have added many everyday carry (EDC) as well as prepper products to our line. We will also be your location of choice if you are interested in air gunning. We will be offering such brands as Umarex, Gamo, Walther, RWS, Benjamin, Daisy, and a few others. These air guns will shoot many sizes of ammo from BB’s and Pellets to large calibers. If you are not yet familiar with the newer lines of air guns, please stop by and let us help familiarize you with the new exciting outdoor activity.
Production of our wooden boat line is currently happening as well. We will have at least a half dozen different types of boats including (but not excluding others) Kayaks, Rowing Boats, Sailing, River Boats, Runabouts, and even Paddle Boards. All boats will start being offered for sale in April 2021, in a one by one ordering format. We will welcome and offer individual customizing, and some boats that need to be built from your plans will be welcomed.
